Summary : Record time: Within 10 days, the first train from Xi'an arrived at the Zahony-Eperjeske transfer station in the Rail Cargo Terminal - BILK. After more than 7,000 km, the container train loaded with consumer goods was welcomed in Budapest. The start of container transport by rail was the city of Xi'an, a metropolis with 13 million inhabitants. The train operated on the route via Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

Great potential for Eurasian traffic
Between the Rail Cargo Terminal BILK and Xi'an, the Rail Cargo Group is the first rail freight company to have handled a train on this route. The first test train on the alternative route via the Sino-Kazakh border crossing Alashankou / Dostyk and Ukrainian border via Batjevo / Eperjeske was handled by the RCG. With a duration of only 10 days, customers benefit from a transferable transport time. The RCG thus reaches a new level in Eurasian container traffic.

This relieves the environment of 60,000 truck trips and hundreds of thousands of tons of greenhouse gases.
